Advertisement Analysis
This is an example of physical advertisement so it is not something you observe but physically participate. The park bench has been painted red to look like a Kit-Kat wrapper that has been half-opened so the bench looks like the actual chocolate bar. Benches are not usually red so it definitely catches the eye of a passer-by and the connotations this has is that anywhere is a good place to eat a Kit-Kat no matter if you're walking around at home or sitting down outside. It also indirectly refers to the classic slogan "have a break, have a Kit-Kat". Without the painting on the side, it simply looks like a bench that's been manipulated to look similar to a chocolate bar.
This is an advertisement for Coca Cola whilst simultaneously promoting the film, Skyfall. Neither one has anything to do with each other, other than the fact that 007 and Coca-Cola are both extremely popular brands so they are able to advertise one another at the same time. The background of the advert itself is a similar colour to the product because it is a greyish-black which makes the name of it which is in red stand out to the consumer more. Also the fact that it is in the middle of Bond's iconic target shot is the advertisement implying that you can be as much of a man as 007, in style, sophistication and confidence if you were to buy this product which is further implied by the tagline, "unlock the 007 in you" as men want to be him, women want to be with him so it is open for all audiences.
This advert is about Skittles and it draws your interest with the colour contrast of a clear blue sky to a rainbow made of the five different Skittle flavours. With a rainbow, aside from the obvious multitude of colour which the Skittles have, there are connotations of happiness after a dark time so it's implying Skittles will make you happier.
