Three Film Posters
This is a teaser trailer for the war film, Dunkirk which does not display any billing block for the names of cast and crew, presumably because it was in post-production and they had not been fully decided yet. The poster non-verbally states it is a war film through the use of imagery and colours; the primary colours are grey and black with the orange hint of fire to convey a sense of bleakness and hopelessness but the fire also has connotations of destruction and death. Furthermore, the soldiers uniform and the make and model of the fighter planes display that the film is set in the early 1900's so it will attract the older demographic of people alive in that era alongside the younger audience of Nolan's fans. The demographic will range from 20-30 year olds to 80's.
