Three Film Posters
This is a teaser trailer for the war film, Dunkirk which does not display any billing block for the names of cast and crew, presumably because it was in post-production and they had not been fully decided yet. The poster non-verbally states it is a war film through the use of imagery and colours; the primary colours are grey and black with the orange hint of fire to convey a sense of bleakness and hopelessness but the fire also has connotations of destruction and death. Furthermore, the soldiers uniform and the make and model of the fighter planes display that the film is set in the early 1900's so it will attract the older demographic of people alive in that era alongside the younger audience of Nolan's fans. The demographic will range from 20-30 year olds to 80's.

This is a poster for the neo-noir detective/horror/thriller Se7en; this one does have a billing block at the bottom of the poster in a faded white so it clashes with the orange-yellow colour of the background so it is noticeable but does not distract from the main focus of the poster - the lead stars. Along with the title, Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt's names are one of the few things in white on this entire poster, they are both against a black background to be more noticeable than anything else which shows the most important fact the poster is attempting to get across is its cast because of their popularity and fame.
This is a poster for the superhero movie Venom. However, the titular main character is an anti-hero so it breaks away from what we consider to be stereotypical of superhero films; the colour overtone is much darker and absolute, primarily it is grey and black which contrasts with superheroes who are much more triumphant and vibrant in tone. The billing block is at the bottom so it does not distract the primary focus of the trailer and the only name of the cast directly mentioned is the star, Tom Hardy, a popular actor which shows it is trying to attract a larger audience based on its lead's fame.
